DIY Beauty: Chocolate and Vanilla Bath Melts

Here at Skin Health Spa we love a spot of thrifty DIY beauty. Today we bring you one of our favourite bath time treats - Chocolate and Vanilla Bath Melts (yummy right?!) Here's how...

YOU WILL NEED:

25g of raw cocoa butter

1 teaspoon of cocoa powder

A couple of drops of Vanilla extract (not essence!)

Pretty soap/chocolate moulds

HOW TO:

Melt your cocoa butter in a bain-marie (a bowl over a pan of hot water) until it liquifies. You can roughly chop the cocoa butter first if you want it to melt quicker.

Leave the butter to cool slightly then add the cocoa powder to the melted butter and stir gently.

Drop in your vanilla essence and give everything a good mix.

Pour the mixture into your soap moulds. It's best to use silicone moulds as they pop out easier. Put them in the fridge for about an hour to harden up.

Once solid, pop them out of their moulds and leave to stand in the fridge on their own again for about 30-45 minutes then store them in a pretty jar. They should keep for around 6 months but we're sure you will use them all before that time!

TO USE:

Simply pop a couple in the bath and give the water a stir. Be careful as they can make the bath slippy!

So there you have it, lovely little bath melts perfect for presents or to spoil yourself with at bath time!
