Get to know our Injectors- Dr. Liam Rose
If you have ever considered injectable treatments, then no doubt your first concern will be to make sure that the person carrying out the procedure is properly qualified to prescribe and administer the treatment.
Too many clinics have taken short cuts, offered inferior products, not understood their patients' concerns and not offered qualified and experienced practitioners.
At Skin Health Spa, with over a million injectable and complex skin consultations and treatments under our belt, we know a good injector when we see one!
So, we'd like to introduce you to Dr Liam Rose

We asked Dr Liam about injectable treatments...
BOTOX® and Juvéderm® different to other products?
BOTOX® is the original wrinkle-relaxing injection, which means it has the pedigree. It’s the most predictable and high quality product on the market, and people are often sold imitation products when they think they are getting genuine BOTOX® . As for Juvéderm® , the newer Vycross premium range is a great filler. It lasts longer, injects smoother and attracts less water retention than any other filler making it the most natural product to use.
What treatment do you love performing the most?
Cheek enhancement is by far the most impressive treatment for both guys and girls. It’s the area that is the cause of many facial ageing and sagging concerns. Whilst it can take 2-3ml of filler, the results are incredible and it makes the patients so so happy!
What raised your interest in Aesthetic treatments?
The gratitude of the patients after any cosmetic procedure is phenomenal. It’s hard to believe, but people are more likely to thank you and praise you after making them look a little younger than if you save their life – it’s strange. But it’s very important for job satisfaction.
What should clients look for and check in an injector?
Being medically qualified and having a good reputation are so important. For my clients, they find comfort in knowing that they are being treated by a surgeon who knows exactly how to deal with complications – and more importantly, how to avoid them! The other important thing is your gut feeling. After your consult, do you trust this person? Do you have concerns about their skill? Is their knowledge sound? Do they a have an eye for aesthetics?
How does BOTOX® work and what are the side effects?
Simply, BOTOX® is a toxin that stops the nerves from triggering the muscles to contract. So it won’t feel numb but you won’t be able to move the muscle treated. Side effects are mainly injector-dependant if they have a poor technique (i.e the ‘Spok’ brow or brow drop). But usually I advise people that a little bruising can be the main risk – I’d say 20% of people will get a little bruise for a few days only.
What are Dermal Fillers, how do they work and the side effects?
Dermal fillers are synthetic Hyaluronic Acids which are found naturally in the body. They are very safe and very pure. When injected into the body they integrate with your tissues and replace lost volume, enhance natural areas, or provide lift. Again complications are injector-dependant. Everybody will experience some minor bruising and swelling, but your doctor/nurse should be able to avoid infection, lumpiness and unevenness.
What other interesting uses do BOTOX® and Fillers have?
BOTOX® can be used to control sweating under the arms by about 80%. Fillers can also be used to get rid of under eye bags, tighten jawlines, lift brows and straighten noses!
