A popular practice since the 1950’s, Mesotherapy involves the micro-injection of specially prepared active ingredients, injected directly into the skin cell. It delivers vitamins into the mesoderm, or middle layer of skin, acting as a "medicinal bullet" that is delivered directly to the target area to restore skin health. It can also be used to reduce cellulite, localizing fat deposits and promoting weight loss, by stimulation of metabolism, local circulation and fat breakdown.

It involves multiple injections using a very fine needle placed immediately beneath the surface of the skin into the problematic area/s. Just a "drop" of solution is used at each injection site.

Mesotherapy is commonly used to rejuvenate skin on the face, neck, décolletage and hands. Fat reduction can be applied anywhere but most frequently on jowls, chin, legs, buttocks, abdomen and arms.

Mesotherapy can be used to treat the following concerns:

  • Dull / tired skin
  • Dehydration
  • Cellulite and fat reduction
  • Thinning hair
  • Dark circles around the eyes
  • Back / Bra-line
  • Stretch marks
  • Sun damage

Mesotherapy FAQs

  • How Does It Work?

A special cocktail of nutrients found naturally in the skin such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins (A, B, C, E, K), minerals and coenzymes and nucleic acids are injected into to the target area to help skin regain its natural elasticity, shape and glow.

Since this non-invasive treatment replenishes naturally-occurring substances required by the skin to rehydrate and repair imperfections, the results are quick and long-lasting. Stimulation of the skin tissue helps to firm, tone and restructure skin.

  • What Can I Expect In Treatment?

After an initial consultation with a Medical Aesthetician, a sophisticated sequence of injections where micro quantities of plant extracts, minerals, vitamins and homeopathic medicines is injected just under the skins surface.

  • Are There Any Side Effects?

Some bruising may occur after the Mesotherapy treatment, which disappears soon afterwards. Mild redness may also appear which goes away after a few hours.
Do not expose the skin to the sun immediately after treatment and be sure to use an SPF30+ on the treated area.

  • How Many Treatments Would I Need?

You will need between 3 and 10 treatments spaced one month apart, depending on the area being treated and the skin concern. Once you have completed your initial course you may need occasional ‘top-up’ treatments to maintain results.

  • What Results Can I Expect To See?

I didn't want a treatment that people would look and say 'she's had something done', so this treatment was ideal for me and I feel my skin looks much more refreshed and healthy now. The nurse described it as skin food and that's exactly what I feel it's like, intensified skin supplements that leave me with a natural glow.
