Trending Treatment - Profiloplasty

07/02/2019

Profiloplasty can involve a number of cosmetic techniques which aim to balance out the profile of the face by targeting four key areas – forehead, nose, cheekbones and the chin. This procedure aims to create symmetry and improve facial proportions, making the client's profile appear more well-balanced. Adjusting more than one facial feature should be considered for an overall aesthetic improvement.

This procedure involves injecting dermal filler into each area of face, focusing specifically on the chin, nose and lip area. With the use of Dermal Filler, we are able to strategically add facial volume in a number of key areas works to subtly, yet effectively realign features and provide a more harmonious facial balance.

What is dermal filler?

Dermal Filler (Hyaluronic Acid) is a naturally occurring substance within the body, which is found in the dermis (lower skin levels), it helps to keep skin smooth and hydrated. Hyaluronic Acid levels naturally decrease as we age, resulting in visible signs of ageing (sunken cheeks, lines, wrinkles, lips lose fullness), these attributes result in a loss of profile symmetry.

Many moisturisers contain hyaluronic acid, but facial fillers containing hyaluronic acid, like Juvéderm, are the only way to replenish the hyaluronic acid deep within the skin. Juvéderm fillers mimics the body’s natural depleted hyaluronic acid. Once injected the fillers provide support and structure to the skin, allowing a more symmetrical facial profile to be achieved.

This treatment has little/minimal downtime, and the results are instant.
